Gosh this week is going quick, we're on Thursday already! My holiday is now oh so close, so in keeping with the holiday spirit I've added some rather tropical palm print to today's attire. In other news, I'm waiting in for a rather special delivery of some shiz hot shoes today (uber excited!) and then this evening I'm off to a Motel event with my blogger gal pals.

I have a bit of a moan to express this morning I'm afraid and yet again it revolves around these arse-cheek-baring younglings who are clearly encouraging retailers to create utterly inappropriate shorts. I went shopping the other day for denim shorts and found it almost impossible to find a pair which didn't expose my buttocks! Thankfully the 'boyfriend fit' is still at large so when I popped into New Look I found these bleached ones which you can roll up or down to the length that you want them.

I can practically hear the moans of sheer desperation from everyone who has gone back to work today after a 4-day weekend. I hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend, I didn't do much really, had a few nice days with my man and saw some family. Back at it today, a few hours of shooting outfits this morning and now some photo editing so it's all fun and games for me!

By far my favourite places to buy costume jewellery are Miss Selfridge and Topshop, especially around this time of year because all the festival themed pieces start to come out so you can pick up some really unusual styles (hand harnesses, head pieces and body chains etc). Ok, so this super-layered look might not be practical, washing your hands is going to take an epic amount of time but I just love the look! I've noticed that Toppers and Miss S have started coming out with loads of sets of rings which include stackers, midi and thumb styles and they're really reasonable priced! A couple of sets and you can create this look for under £20. I think this look will be huge for festivals....and you don't wash so hey no need to take them off ;) There are more subtle ways to work this look but you can adjust it to suit your style and practicality.

Happy Good Friday everyone! I'm not really sure I can remember what Good Friday is all about, I'm not religious in the slightest so I just like to know; can we eat easter eggs yet or not? Yeh, it's all about the chocolate, soz Jesus. Anywho, I hope you all enjoy this long bank holiday weekend, lets eat chocolate until we vomit!

Last week I received an amazing goodie bag from the Debenhams Beauty press day and one of the gorgeous beauty products inside was this Cargo Lipstick (£13.00 2.8g) in 'Palm Beach'. The colour (swatched below) is amazing and just perfect for summer with it's pinky coral tone. The finish is neither matte or glossy but just a little something in between with a high pigment for a bold lip. The texture is creamy and lightweight making application a breeze! It didn't dry out my lips and left them feeling hydrated and plumped throu ghout the day. It's not my favourite shape of lipstick as I prefer the ends to be slightly pointed so you get into the nooks and crannies of your lips but applied with a lip brush it's perfect.
You might remember me mentioning last week that I went off to Wallis HQ to take part in a shoot for their latest offering from their much coveted W Collection (Available online now). I was asked to pick one item from the 'Crimson Collection' and style it in 3 different ways. I chose these amazing coral tailored shorts (Trousers and blazer also available) and I did a casual, a work-wear and a smart-casual look. And that's the great thing about this entire collection, it's all so versatile, the pieces are so easy to style as they just slot in with your existing wardrobe, they just provide a fresh summer wardrobe update. The real stand out pieces for me are the printed bomber jacket (I'm obsessing over bombers right now) and the white leather jacket (Which I'm clutching onto for dear life above) which is a massive trend for this season and an absolute must-have!

I've actually had this mascara since before Christmas and been meaning to review it for ages but just not got round to it. It's called Lights, Camera, Lashes (£17.76 7ml) and is a 4 in 1 mascara (Lengthening, curling, volumising and conditioning). I've been using this since I received it in a QVC press day goodie bag and I just love it! I was also given the Tarte eyelash curlers which I use everyday with the mascara. Firstly, the packaging...isn't it amazing! I'm all up for anything encased in snakeskin and this faux leather snake effect tube looks adorable in my make up bag, because lets face it, products have to look cute as well as doing a good job. The mascara wand is perfect, it's long and not complicated with fancy bristles, simple is the key here! I always find that I can literally sweep this through my lashes about 3 times and they are all evenly coated and my mascara is done with zero fuss! This will be down to the emollient wax which allows a smooth application with no clumping. If I'm off out for an event or just simply want a more dramatic eye then I'll add a second coat for super volumised lashes. ProVitamin B5 treats and thickens lashes, olive esters condition, treat, and protect lashes which might be why it's also so easy to remove. I just use some Micellar water and it disolves this kind to lashes formula quickly and easily without excessive rubbing. This mascara is dermatologist-tested and also contains mineral pigments known for their soothing and softening properties...soft lashes anyone...yay! If I were going to recommend just one mascara it would be this one!

I've been at it again with the nail art and today I've created some Celine inspired nails using a print from their SS14 collection. This was one of the easiest nail art designs I've done because it's not about being precise, it's about randomness (Huraah for a bit of randomness!). Although there are a few layers to this design it honestly doesn't take that long, only 15 minutes including a couple of mins drying time in between.
I just started with a base coat of white polish (Essie in Blanc) and then colour by colour I layered up the random brush strokes using a nail art brush from a set from Forever 21. I started with the Red Polish (Barry M 'Red') then went onto the Yellow (Claire's 'California Girl'), followed by the black (OPI 'Black Onyx') and finally the teal (LA Colors 'Sea Foam'). I finished with a layer of Seche Vite Super Fast top coat for super shine and a speedy finished look.
